From the south take I-880 north to the Oak Street exit (after 5th Avenue). At the bottom of the exit (signal) turn right onto Oak Street. The cross streets are numbered; when you get to 14th Street (8 blocks) Oak Street becomes Lakeside Drive and you're there.
From the north, east, or west take I-80, Hwy-24, or the Bay Bridge to I-580 east. Take the Harrison Street-Oakland Avenue exit off I-580 (after the Hwy-24 junction) and stay to the right onto Harrison Street. Continue down Harrison Street staying in the center or left lane. In about half a mile the lake will appear on your left. Stay to the left and follow the shore onto Lakeside Drive then Madison Street. Turn left onto 14th Street (signal) after a long block on Madison Street. Turn left again after one block onto Lakeside Drive and you have arrived.
